You are a Representative

  • As a representative of Sub Teacher Source, it is imperative that you be ON TIME to assignments.
  • Being EARLY is highly recommended and makes a great impression!

Tardies/Cancellations/No Call No Shows

  • We understand that emergencies happen, and that life can be unexpected at times.
  • There will be a time when you’re stuck in traffic and running late.
  • However, our job is to provide quality, responsible subs to our partner schools.
  • We watch for any patterns from subs who are constantly late, calling in, no call/no showing.
  • These issues are always documented, and if continued can place a sub on DNU or Unavailable.

What happens when I’m tardy?

  • First, Placement will contact the school to make them aware.
    • We will communicate with them your ETA.
  • Then, documentation is made that you were tardy.

Continuous tardies = DNU’s or Separation from Sub Teacher Source.

What Happens When I Cancel an Assignment?

  • Subs are responsible for cancelling assignments if needed in a timely matter.
    • This is essential, so that another sub can take the job, and the school can have coverage
    • Unless there is an emergency, you should not be cancelling your assignment the day of - You’ve made a commitment, and the school is counting on you!
  • After cancelling the assignment, you will receive an email confirmation of the cancellation.
    • If you don’t receive this email, check that the cancellation went through on your end. Call/email placement if you need assistance.
  • Placement documents all cancellations.
    • Multiple cancellations will result in being placed on DNU or Separation from the company.

What happens when I No call/No show?

  • Unless there is an emergency, there is no reason to not contact Placement or cancel an assignment yourself through the portal.
  • Placement is here to support, but it is your responsibility to communicate.
  • If something comes up the morning of, please contact Placement immediately.
  • Placement documents all cancellations.
    • Multiple cancellations will result in being placed on DNU or Separation from the company.

Be Responsible!

    • Set out your clothes the night before.
    • Prepare anything you might need for your assignment: Bag, backpacks, water, lunch, etc.
    • Set multiple alarms.

  • Get a good night's sleep! This will help you feel refreshed and ready to go for your assignment in the morning.
  • Always, always, always double check the details of your assignment - Check the time!
