What to do if a substitute teacher is not meeting/exceeding your expectations.

Here's what you should do if you are unhappy with the performance of one of our subs!

The Sub Teacher Source team includes former educators and administrators, including principals, teacher coaches, and SPED directors. This allows us to provide unprecedented training and support to our substitute teachers.

Instead of using the Do Not Use feature, which will ultimately shrink your sub pool and eliminate the opportunity to connect to developing substitutes, please allow our team the opportunity to coach and mentor a struggling sub.

Is a substitute not exceeding your expectations?

Please send an email with your observations and feedback to placement@isscompanies.com. In return, we commit to promptly assigning your sub to professional development opportunities and personal one-to-one mentorship. Our renowned "Sub Teacher Source Coaching Cycle" guarantees that every substitute teacher in our program has access to vital learning tools, facilitating growth and development. Thank you for your continued support and involvement.

What does our STS coaching cycle look like?

The coaching cycle is between the substitute teacher and the recruiter or account manager.

  1. Identify- Based on your feedback, we will identify the area of improvement.
  2. Learn- We will collaborate to determine the best strategies to implement that will help the substitute achieve their goal.
  3. Improve- We will continue to monitor and ask for feedback on their performance.
